IT4ALL is a not for profit charitable organization founded by Jerome Kilkenny with the goal of providing disadvantaged communities in Ireland and Africa with IT (Information Technology) resources for use in education.
IT4ALL takes obsolete PCs from donors in Ireland, refurbishes them and installs fully licensed Microsoft software before distributing to qualifying schools.
Jerome partners very closely with PlayingForLife http://www.playingforlife.ie/ an extremely effective organisation founded by Tracy Piggott in 2004.
Thanks to the generosity of Thare Machi Education (http://www.tme.org.uk/ ) the IT4ALL PCs are distributed with 35 high quality interactive education modules on a wide range of relevant topics (Avoiding Malaria, Basic Hygiene, Bed Nets Can Save Lives. Breastfeeding, Caring for Someone with AIDS, Cholera etc etc)
IT4ALL is in the process of becoming a Microsoft Registered Reburbisher (MRR) to support our goal of continuing to distribute PCs with fully licensed Microsoft software.
In addition to Playing For Life , IT4ALL is thankful to the following sponsors and partners:
- The large number of individual donors and supporters.
- Microsoft Ireland – software and hardware
- Thare Machi Education – provider of dvd/computer based education modules on a wide variety of topics ( cholera, TB, caring for somebody with AIDs/HIV etc. ) for developing nations around the world.
